My yoga journey
As a former collegiate volleyball athlete, it was my passion for exercise and fitness that inspired me to take my first yoga class.
I found yoga at a time in my life when I felt lost, unhappy, and disconnected.
Yoga cleared a path for me to develop a new way of life, one that was designed to support my happiness and personal development.
The more I practiced, the more I noticed my perspective shifting, and I began to see myself in a new light.
I recognized something powerful and abundant growing within me and I decided to attend my first yoga teacher training. Yoga became my passion and life path.
I've learned that making a choice to show up and practice daily, regardless of life's challenges, is one of the most powerful ways to develop unconditional self-love.
When we're moving from a place of authentic self-love, everything falls into place as we begin to show up better in all areas of our life.
Yoga is union, oneness, love, and balance.
The practice is everywhere: on the mat, in our relationships, in the way we view ourselves and the world arounds us.
Yoga teaches us to own our body, mindset, and emotions, and eventually learn to master them.
Through self-awareness and acceptance, we learn to minimize unnecessary suffering and embrace the present moment.
Yoga is about learning, growing, healing, accepting, and making the most of the things that come our way.
This practice helps us develop an equanimous mind, which allows us to navigate life's challenges gracefully.
Through teaching, I hope to create a supportive community that empowers students to discover stillness, strength, and radical self-love.
